Like every genre, Heavy Metal music has its traditions. Drop tuned power chords, screaming solos and plenty of distortion. The RG652KFX is designed to handle even the heaviest of riffs with great mid range tone to help you cut through the mix. Over three decades the Ibanez RG has been a heavy hitter in the world of metal. With a modern design, great playability and a beautiful Buckeye top these are a great choice for any budding shredder.

Great Mid Range Tone

Don't get lost in the mix, the combination of an American Basswood body with DiMarzio AirNorton and Tone ZOne pickups, designed for great mid range response, mean this guitar has plenty of attack. The rosewood fretboard is beautiful and further boosts that mid range punch.

Solid setup

A fixed bridge gives you better sustain (great for soloing) and helps stop you going out of tune. When you're using drop tunings a floating bridge needs adjusting to keep the string tension right, fixed bridges don't need so much attention, great if you want to switch between tunings quickly.

Built for speed

Ibanez's necks are strong, flat and very fast. Just right for quick shredding. Deep Cutaways give you great access to the upper frets, you get a better range for soloing and a flat fretboard that's great for string bending.

Acacia Koa Top

The real stand out point about this guitar is the top. Made of Acacia Koa it looks amazing. Only found in, and native to, the Hawaiian Islands, this beautiful, fast growing hardwood forest tree has an amazing history. It was prized by early settlers for canoe carving, being fairly light and buoyant, and it was “the” wood for the famous Ukulele craze in the teens and twenties. It has a rich brown look with an almost "tiger stripe" look.

CITES

CITES regulations concerning the export of items containing certain woods affect any guitar sold ouside of the European Union and which contains any quantity of either Rosewood or Bubinga.  In these cases, an additional charge of £80.00 will be levied per species after the sale to pay for the required re-export certificate.  There will be a delay in dispatching any guitar containing either Bubinga or Rosewood of up to 4 weeks while we obtain the necessary certification for export. As the charge is per species, where a guitar contains both Bubinga AND Rosewood, the charge is doubled to £160.00.  We will contact you following your purchase of any guitar containing a controlled wood and advise of the charge once you have placed the order.  You can make payment for the charge by sending a Paypal payment to us at: sales@fxpedal.co.uk.

Note that CITES only applies to guitars containing Rosewood or Bubinga that are being exported outside the European Union.  Guitars being delivered with the United Kingdom or in the European Union will be dispatched as normal.
